Losing still feels good

So, it's been 10 days since I last posted.  I've finally achieved several days that I've been under 190.  Today in fact was one of those days and I'm actually surprised because the last two days have been very bad with the eating of the food.

Wednesday was apparently admin assistant's appreciation day and the managers decided on having an ice cream day.  They had chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream with a ton of different toppings to choose from along with bananas for splits and root beer for floats.  Because there were too many choices I went the easy way and decided to just have a float.  A tiny bit of rootbeer with a tiny bit of ice cream.

So I thought, ok, that really wasn't all that bad and after working out tonight I'll be just fine.  Yeah, by the time I got home I didn't want to do shit so I didn't.  We had chinese for dinner and I didn't do any exercising and then we also had lemon cake for desert.

Then yesterday after my frozen dinner lunch I ended up having more ice cream, this time with some sprinkles of chips a'hoy cookies and oreo cookies.  Admittedly it was very little of all, basically just a taste of them.  BUT later in the afternoon when everyone else was having a 2/2:30 break of ice cream I couldn't resist and had some more chocolate in a waffle cone.  THEN we went over to his mom's to bring the canned cat food that we had for the momma cat that just had babies a week ago so no exercise once again.  AND we had Pizza Hut for dinner.  One of their 10 dollar meals with the pan pizza, breadsticks and cinnisticks.  Very, very bad.

So I fully expected to be back up above 190, even if it was only back to 191.7 or so, so when I was at 189.7 this morning I was very happy.

But then other than those two days and last Friday I've done the elliptical or treadmill (mostly elliptical) every single day so I have been exercising and mostly eating right.

HDT for whatever reason just couldn't bring himself to do weights at all last week so I didn't do any.  And his excuse this week was that he had a cold.  Which I actually understand, when you can't breathe and have no energy it's really hard to exercise.  But the week before, not only did he not weight lift he didn't do any cardio.

I've since decided that although I won't do the lifting that requires a spotter I will still do some routines that don't require it.  Or, I'll just do the lifts at a lighter weight and do more reps.  Either way I'm bringing weights back into my routine.

I'm hoping that next week when he's feeling better he'll get back to joining me.
